Examination for Police Officer

Filing Deadline was July 31st, 2006, at 5 p.m.

The examination shall consist of a written test on Monday, August 14th, 2006, at 9:00 a.m. in the ballroom of the Maumee Elks Lodge, 139 West Wayne Street, Maumee, Ohio 43537 (Please use ballroom entrance). Persons completing the application process will be given a study guide for the written examination. Applicants must score at least 75 percent on the written test in order to be placed on the eligibility list. An extensive background investigation will be conducted on all persons on the eligibility list.

After the list is established, eligible candidates are certified by the appointing authority to fill any vacancy or vacancies. Each appointment shall be subject to successfully passing a physical examination, including drug screening and a psychological assessment conducted by consultants of the City's choice. Cost of all such testing will be paid by the City.

The first 12 months of employment is deemed a probationary period. The base annual salary for the position is $41,597.
