VEHICLES:

Four Engines

• 1992 Darley – equipped with a 1500 gallon-per-minute pump (Champion) with a 1000 gallon tank. This engine is fitted with approximately 81 feet of ground ladders.  
• 1987 Sutphen – equipped with a 1250 gallon-per- minute pump (Hale) with a 500 gallon tank. This engine is fitted with approximately 80 feet of ground ladders.
• 1979 Sutphen – equipped with a 1250 gallon-per-minute pump (Hale) with a 500 gallon tank. This engine has approximately 80 feet of ground ladders.

• 2004 Pierce - equipped with a 1,500 gallon-per-minute pump with a 750 gallon tank.  Also, a Pierce Husky 10 compressed air foam system with capacity of 30 gallons of Class "A" foam.  Side rollover protection system and enclosed top mount pump panel. 

 Two Heavy Rescue Units

• 1997 Summit Rescue – built on a 32 foot- long freight- liner chassis. It has two pre- connected extrication lines for rescues: the Hurst jaws of life are located on one line and the cutters are on the second. The “Cairns Iris Thermal Imaging Helmet” is kept in this squad. The unit also carries the FRC thermal imaging hand held camera. The squad is the first unit in Maumee to have the Firecom System in it. The Firecom System consists of headsets for the personnel that are riding in the vehicle that allows them to hear what their assignment will be at the scene.
• 1988 Frontline – This squad also carries extrication equipment along with some hazardous material supplies. The squad is equipped with a portable “amkus” tool, rope rescue equipment, portable lights, and some confined space rescue equipment.

 Two Aerial Devices

• 2000 Pierce Lance 105' Ladder - is equipped with a Hale pump of 1500 gallon-per-minute and a 500 gallon poly tank.  The 105 foot aerial has all wheel steer for excellent moving capabilities in tight areas.  A husky foam system is also featured on this spectacularly advanced vehicle. 

• 1972 Sutphen Aerial Truck – has a bucket, which is attached to an 85-foot tower. In the spring of 1997, the unit was refurbished by Sutphen Corporation to update the engine from gas to a diesel engine and numerous safety updates were made. This truck also has a 1250 gallon-per-minute pump. It carries approximately 114 feet of ground ladders.

Three Watercraft

• 2001 Rubber Zodiac – This is the Division's front-line boat, covering approximately 4.5 miles of the Maumee River. The motor on the boat is a Mercury outboard 25 horsepower.  

• 1998 Rescue One -This is the Division's front line boat and is powered by a 35hp Johnson motor. The boat also carries an 18 hp portable pump and deck gun.

• 2007 Yamaha Wave Runner FX/High Output  - 3 seater obtained through an annual renewable Law Enforcement Grant.  This vehicle can be launched quickly to get to stranded fishermen or victims and provide aid until other rescue craft can arrive.

The Fire Divisions of Maumee and Perrysburg (cities located on opposite sides of the River) have a mutual aid response agreement. When either of the fire divisions respond to a rescue along the River, the other division will also respond for support and protection. Each spring from March to May, the annual migration of walleye from Lake Erie move upriver to spawn, making the River a very busy place, which, in turn, keeps our divisions busy. The air and water temperatures are still very cold and many victims fall prey to hypothermia.

Two other Vehicles

• 2001 Chevrolet pickup - This vehicle is used for hauling hose and empty SCBA bottles after fires. The vehicle is equipped with a plow for snow removal and also transports the Rescue One boat to the River for rescues.

• 1928 Ahrens Fox - This vintage vehicle is used for musters and parades.  The rotary gear pump has a capacity of 600 gallons-per-minute.  At various musters, this truck has been known to get water in less than 4 seconds.  This truck and different crews have brought many first place trophies.  All of the equipment on this 1928 truck is original, including the paint.
