Timothy
L. Wagener, Mayor
On Friday, August 6, 1999, Tim Wagener was
sworn in as the 49th Mayor in the City of Maumee, after having
been a member of Maumee City Council since 1991 and President
of Council from 1994 to 1998. Tim and his wife
Karen were married in 1982 and have two children, Molly (21)
and Trevin (19) and are members of St. Joseph's Church in
Maumee. Tim graduated
from St. Johns High School in 1975. In
1980 at the age of 23, he owned and operated two small retail
stores for 15 years, and then in 1995 began a career with Modern Woodmen of America, a
fraternal nonprofit life insurance company. In 1996 he earned
the FIC (Fraternal Insurance Counselor) designation from the
Fraternal Field Managers Association.
Mayor Wagener was re-elected in November 2007 for a third full four year term and was duly sworn in on January
7, 2008.
