Wisteria Cottage / Nitschke House.
Built c. 1840's, this Greek revival cottage is very
similar to the Creps/Tallman home at 526 W. Broadway, with a
wide entablature and classic doorway. According to
tradition, the name "Wisteria Cottage" was
acquired in the early 20th century due to the large wisteria
bushes surrounding it then. Several additions to the
rear of the dwelling are in harmony with the original block
and the current residents have added an enclosed entry.
