Pomeroy / Cassidy /
Cox
Home This home (c
1850), like many built in the 1850's, follows a simple,
vernacular form with few stylistic details. The house
overlooks the Maumee River and Harry Pomeroy, former
resident, wrote of the joys of "gazing out of my
mansion window upon the broad expanse of the Maumee
River."
Several years after Pomeroy's death in
1952, the house was purchased by Albert and Dorothy Cassidy
who began renovations to the home. The current
residents are the Cassidy's granddaughter and her
husband. They have added a 3-story addition on the
west side of the home, basement, family room, and 3rd story
master suite. A new kitchen encompasses several old
rooms.
